Putting the wellbeing into work: the new agenda for occupational health

The Health, Work and Wellbeing strategy was launched in 2005 to be enacted April 1 2008. The strategy acknowledges the importance and benefit of work on society from the point of view of reducing health inequalities, poverty and social exclusion.

From the workplace perspective, occupational health professionals have known about the benefits of work on health for a long time, but now have the evidence
to prove it.

Papers are invited from professionals working in and/or with occupational health specialists, with an emphasis on ensuring the wellbeing element is promoted in all the following areas:

  • Starting employment
  • Returning to employment
