Aim:

This morning seminar aims to increase the understanding of the health care needs of people with a learning disability in health care services and is aimed at nurses working across the spectrum of health care and relates to the care of people with mild to severe learning disabilities

• Understanding of the nature of learning disabilities
• The specific health care needs of people with learning disabilities
• Overcoming the barriers to effective health care
