RCN stewards represented at European conference

Cath Leach represented RCN stewards at the recent Collective Bargaining Conference held in Brussels last month.

The conference attracted more than 150 delegates from across the EU and other countries. Cath is a senior staff nurse at the Christie Hospital in Manchester and sits on the RCN North West Board and the UK Stewards Committee. She said:

“I found the conference really interesting and was delighted to be able to represent the RCN and its activists. It was clear the recession is hitting everyone badly and there are likely to be great pressures on public sector workers and the delivery of public services for many years.”

Cath will give a report of her visit to the next meeting of the UK Stewards Committee.
