Your branch AGM needs you
It’s that time of the year when RCN branches hold annual general meetings (AGMs) to review activities over the past 12 months, elect their executive committees and set their future priorities.
If you are a steward, safety representative or learning representative, the branch AGM is also the time when your role as an accredited representative is formally ratified by the branch membership.
Under the RCN’s branch constitution, the quorum for a branch AGM is 10 members, so it’s important that you make every effort to attend your branch AGM, particularly if you are affiliated to a small branch.
The branch is also a great opportunity to meet and share information and experiences with fellow activists who work in your area.
Details of forthcoming branch AGMs appear on the listings pages of RCN Bulletin and can also be obtained by contacting your branch secretary or your RCN country or regional office.
