We have on offer two courses providing you with all you have ever wanted to know about information and technology and improving patient care.

The Power of Information development programmes

Nurses are at the frontline of healthcare, which means they are also at the frontline of new technology and how it affects patients. Nurses need to understand what information systems can do, to improve care, education and research.

National Clinical Lead for Nursing, Anne Cooper will be posing some of the key questions and providing some answers in an action-packed day open to all members at RCN London on 5 July. There will also be case study work.  It lasts from 10-4 and will cover such issues as:

• Do you know what patients now expect with regard to information?
• How can information and technology support care?
• Are we prepared to be visible in information terms?
• Do you know about the information resources that can help patients?
• Do you understand the potential of technology to change practice and what this will mean in reality?
