Sparrow comes to Liverpool

Tuesday 14 October 2008 is a date for your diary.

The Sparrow School Choir wil be performing at the Liverpool Lighthouse, Anfield as part of the choir's visit to the North West. Hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter and local personality, Roger Phillips.The evening will be a mix of traditional and South African street music. The choir's performance, which coincides with the Liverpool Capital of Culture celebrations, is the highpoint of their vists to the city which aims to both raise funds and the profile of the valuable work of the school back in South Africa.

During their time in the region the choir will spend time at St Edward's College, experiencing a little of Liverpool life as well as performing at the Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital at Alder Hey.

Tickets for the 14 October concert will go on sale shortly through the Unity Theatre.
