RCN membership subscription payments by DOCAS

At its meeting on 24 February 2007, RCN Council determined that membership subscription payments via the DOCAS system (whereby the payment is deducted from the member's salary at source by the employer) will cease from 1 January 2008. This decision was made because DOCAS has become significantly more unreliable to administer compared to other methods of membership payment.
RCN Northern Ireland is now contacting the small percentage of its members who still pay their subscription in this way to notify them of the change and advise them of the various alternative methods of renewing their RCN membership. The RCN's recommended method is payment by monthly direct debit but other available options include annual direct debit, annual credit card payment or annual cheque payment.
