Annual General Meeting

Over the past year, pension/financial seminars have taken place throughout the branch area particularly in the lead up to the proposed changes to the pension scheme. There has been excellent attendance at student recruitment events during Queens University’s fresher’s week and at the Queen’s University jobs fair. Road shows and walkabouts have been held at the Royal Victoria, Mater and Belfast City hospitals, Muckamore, Musgrave Park, Knockbracken and health and wellbeing centres in the Belfast Trust. The branch has also carried out road shows in several nursing homes which have resulted in an increase in membership.
RCN Congress in Harrogate was well attended by the Belfast Branch. Those who attended include:

The RCN Northern Ireland Nurse of the Year Awards took place at the Culloden Hotel on 14 June. The Belfast branch area had considerable success as follows:
