RCN Scotland comment on health board involvement with Patient Opinion
Published: 19 March 2013
Commenting on the announcement that all health boards will now be part of independent site Patient Opinion, RCN Scotland Associate Director, Norman Provan, said:
"We warmly welcome this announcement, which is a positive step in ensuring that patients remain at the heart of Scotland’s NHS. It is only by listening to the views of patients, their families and carers that we can be sure that our NHS is delivering care that is truly person-centred. All health boards must use the information gathered by Patient Opinion to look at patients’ experiences, respond to what patients are telling them, and share best practice to improve the service for everyone."
