Peter Carter visits Hastings

The Hastings Branch welcomed Peter Carter Chief Executive and General Secretary of the RCN and Helen Willetts Co-regional Director of the South East Region to their Branch meeting on the 17th of July.
Peter met with RCN Activists and members and had a wide ranging discussion on health care policy and the work of the RCN. Included in the discussion were the RCN's Dignity campaign, and the vital roles Nurses play in challenging health inequalities and promoting diversity and access to health care. The integral work of Health Care Assistant colleagues and the value of local RCN Activists were outlined by Peter as having the 'spirit, passion and insight' that are key to the college’s continued ability to represent the family of Nursing.
