Professional Membership Structure and Rationalisation of Forums Project

The professional membership structure review was one of a series of reviews set up in 2005 under the PDF project.

Extensive work has been undertaken since then and that work has reached a stage when it is important that we consult widely with you the members.

The consultation documents are listed below and are also available on: http://www.rcn.org.uk/aboutus/gov.

The closing date for responses is 1 September 2008.

Due to the timing of this consultation in relation to the meeting of the South East Board it is not possible to consult widely via the Board members.

Therefore, we are asking you to:

  • disseminate the consultation document and / or the web link details to members of your branch.
  • if possible discuss the consultation questions at a Branch meeting
  • either collate your Branch member responses and return them to Jenny Booth or Helen Willetts OR encourage members to respond to the consultation online

It is important that we get a full range of views on these important changes to the professional membership structure.
