A new era for RCN forums – Congress launch event
Published: 06 May 2009
RCN forums are vital to the work of the RCN, they are run for members, by members. Forums are groups of RCN members working in a similar nursing specialty or with like interests. They provide networking opportunities, help members to enhance their practice knowledge and skills whilst proving an expert resource to the RCN and supporting RCN Council. Forums shape, drive and develop nursing practice and generate nurse leaders.
The RCN has been focusing on them to make them fit for the future by creating 41 new forums. These will be supported by a new governance structure and make greater use of online systems such as the forum web communities.
A launch event for the 41 new forums will be held at RCN Congress on 11 May, 6.30 - 7.30pm in the Majestic Hotel, Carriage Suite.
