Celebrating 15 years of RCN Direct

RCN Direct today celebrates 15 years of providing first line support to RCN members. The advice service was launched on 1 March 1998 following months of extensive research and was set up after the need to offer urgent advice to nursing staff was identified.
Since its launch, RCN Direct has gone from strength to strength and has grown to encompass membership and support services. This includes processing membership payments, events registration, despatching publications and handling calls received to the RCN switchboard, among many other things.
Janet Davies, RCN Director of Nursing and Service Delivery, said, “RCN Direct offers a vital lifeline to members in times of need. Over the past 15 years it has grown and evolved into an award-winning service that the whole organisation can be rightly proud of. I’d like to say a big thank you to the dedicated staff who work so hard to make such a significant difference to members”.
