Mid Staffs report: 6 February
Published: 31 January 2013
The Royal College of Nursing will be responding to the findings of the inquiry into Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust when the inquiry report is published on Wednesday 6 February.
Chaired by Robert Francis QC, the public inquiry builds on a previous independent inquiry and will focus on the role of commissioning, supervisory and regulatory bodies.
The inquiry report will identify why serious problems at the trust were not identified earlier and will make recommendations about the future of patient care.
The report will be delivered to the Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, on 5 February before publication the following day.
The RCN has considered the issues raised during the inquiry hearings and will respond in detail to the report’s findings and recommendations.
