The Royal College of Nursing has published new guidance for members working in the field of orthopaedics and for those who work on older people’s wards.
A Competence Framework for Orthopaedic and Trauma Practitioners (publication code 004 316) aims to provide clarity for organisations as to what they can expect from orthopaedic and trauma care practitioners. It can also be used as a benchmark for organisations to use in recruitment and selection of practitioners.
Safe Staffing for Older People’s Wards: RCN Full Report and Recommendations (publication code 004 280) sets out guidance and recommendations for the provision of good quality, compassionate and safe nursing care for older people in hospital.
