New RCN social networks launched

The Royal College of Nursing has launched an exciting new blog and has signed up to social networking website, Twitter to assist the College in its interaction with members and the public.

A video presented by RCN Chief Executive & General Secretary Dr Peter Carter has been produced which introduces the tools to RCN members. Both the RCN and Dr Carter have signed up to Twitter, which allows users to post short messages called 'tweets' and members will be able to follow both accounts and see all the updates moments after they are posted. The 'tweets' outline new events, campaigns and reactions to news stories.

The RCN has also launched a blog written by Dr Carter. The blog, which can be accessed from the RCN website, focuses on Dr Carter's meetings and visits throughout the UK.
