NHS development programme applications open
Published: 03 May 2013
Applications are open for a number of development programmes developed by the NHS Leadership Academy.
The aim is to combine successful leadership strategies from international health care, private sector organisations and academic expertise.
The focus is to support leaders in creating an environment where staff feel supported and encouraged to focus on providing high-quality health care.
Naomi Chapman, RCN Executive Nurse Network Manager, said: “This is a very welcome opportunity for health care staff to advance their leadership skills and to understand the impact of good leadership. I hope all staff working in health care will apply for these programmes which include both online and attendance based courses. They are designed to offer a range of development for both those new or returning to health care and those who are experienced senior leaders.”
Each programme has been named after inspiring leaders who have made a significant difference to health and patient care.
