Nominate someone special today
Published: 25 October 2012
Time is running out to nominate someone special for a prestigious Royal College of Nursing award.
The respected RCN Merit and Fellowships awards are presented to those who have made exceptional contributions to the RCN and recognise pioneering work in nursing.
The deadline for the following award nominations is Friday 2 November.
RCN Chief Executive Dr Peter Carter said: “These awards are a way of recognising the hard work of some exceptional people, but they rely on nominations. With the deadline fast approaching we want to make sure that no one misses out on the opportunity to recognise a colleague’s excellent work.”
Deserving recipients will be presented with their awards at a special ceremony at RCN Congress 2013.
Further information
- Fellowships – awarded to UK-registered nurses who have made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of nursing and health care.
- Honorary Fellowships – recognise individuals who are not UK-registered nurses, but have made a significant impact on nursing and health care.
- Awards of Merit – recognise those who have provided exceptional service to the RCN over and above the important contributions already made by many activists. Recipients do not have to be nurses, but their service to the RCN must have been in a voluntary capacity.
