Opportunities for international work at WHO

Published: 10 September 2008

The World Health Organization (WHO) is offering graduate nursing students and nurse and midwifery leaders the opportunity to apply for internships and scholar programmes.

Internships last eight weeks and are open to graduate students. There is also an off-site programme for interns requiring in-country work with the World Health Organization’s collaborating centre on nursing and midwifery development.

The three month nurse or midwife scholar programme is aimed at nurse or midwife leaders with extensive experience and skills in health policy, strategic planning, innovations, health informatics, nursing or midwifery education and practice.
