RCN Congress opens in Harrogate
Published: 10 May 2009
Today (Sunday 10 May 2009) sees the opening of RCN Congress. RCN members will meet to learn, develop professionally and share excellent nursing practice.
Congress is the RCN's major annual debating forum, providing RCN members with an opportunity to comment upon and influence Council policy, and to help inform the RCN's work for the coming year. RCN members engage in key debates around nursing practice, public health, employment issues and the workings of the RCN. This year's theme is Counting on care which reflects how nursing is key to both public health and to service delivery.
Running alongside the business of Congress is a large programme of fringe events and the UK's largest exhibition of nursing products and services.
Congress 2009 takes place at the Harrogate International Centre between 10 and 14 May 2009.
