RCN launches two new publications
Published: 22 August 2012
The Royal College of Nursing has today launched new guidance addressing the issues in health and social care introduced by the use of mobile phones, and new guidance on commissioning for equality.
Nursing Staff Using Personal Mobile Phones for Work Purposes focuses on the RCN’s position on nursing staff using their own mobile phone for work-related purposes, drawing attention to issues such as: employer’s policy; security and confidentiality of patient information; staff safety; and cost implications.
Commissioning for Equality analyses how people’s needs are assessed and the services that are introduced to meet these needs, considering ways to achieve equality through knowledge, timeliness, consideration and review.
