RCN launches UK position on district nursing

A new Royal College of Nursing position statement sets out the RCN’s vision for district nursing, highlighting the current challenges facing the sector and suggesting possible solutions.

As the population is living longer and increasing numbers of people are developing long-term conditions, District Nursing – Harnessing the Potential looks at the major role district nursing plays within the NHS.

The publication builds on the RCN’s Pillars of the Community (2010) document, which detailed the position on the development of the registered nurse workforce in the community.
