RCN representatives offered Care Quality Commission transition training
Published: 30 July 2008
The RCN has announced it will be holding a training day for representatives on the Healthcare Commission and Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) on 12 November 2008. This is to help prepare representatives for the forthcoming transition period and to help them to provide support to RCN members who will transfer to the new Care Quality Commission in April 2009.
Trade Unions are currently heavily engaged with work on Care Quality Commission human resources and organisational development and RCN Employment Relations Adviser, Melanie Cullen is leading for the trade unions on the change management and cultural integration work.
The Care Quality Commission becomes a legal entity from October 2008 following recent Royal Assent for the bill which has created the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
