RCN supports launch of 6Cs Live!
Published: 05 July 2013
The RCN is proud to be working in partnership with NHS England to support the launch of the 6Cs Live! Communication Hub, championing Compassion in Practice, the nursing, midwifery and care staff vision and strategy.
6Cs Live! offers support and encouragement to nursing staff committed to improving the quality of their service and the experience of their patients. It supports the delivery of the six areas of action defined by the Compassion in Practice strategy and vision based on the 6Cs – care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment – launched by the Chief Nursing Officer for England in December.
The 6Cs Live! Communication Hub is designed to give nurses, midwives and care staff a place to share best practice, experiences, ideas and resources. Nursing staff can sign up for regular updates and webinars with nursing leaders but also get involved by taking part in the online network to link up with colleagues to share examples of compassionate care and good practice, as well as celebrate success.
