Voting at the AGM – important changes
This year there will be some changes to the way votes are cast for AGM resolutions.
If the RCN holds a valid email address for you on the RCN membership database, you will be invited to vote electronically rather than return a postal vote. RCN members will receive an email early in September from Electoral Reform Services explaining how to do this. It is very simple and will only take a few minutes. Voting electronically saves money, which helps keep subscriptions down, and is more environmentally friendly.
Members who have not given the RCN their email address will receive their voting papers with the September issue of RCN Bulletin. The voting paper can be returned in the reply paid envelope or members can follow the instructions on the paper to cast their vote online.
Further information
RCN members can opt into receiving AGM votes electronically in future by providing their email address at www.rcn.org.uk/myrcn
Details on the resolutions will be available on the AGM website soon.
