Remembering Jacintha Saldanha

Published: 20 December 2012

Following the tragic case of Jacintha Saldanha, the nurse who was the victim of a hoax call to the hospital treating the Duchess of Cambridge, the RCN continues to hold Jacintha’s family and colleagues in our thoughts at this very sad time.

There have been a number of suggestions from RCN members about ways in which we may be able to recognise her contribution to the nursing profession and this is something that the RCN will return to in the new year to consider.

In the meantime, we would like to take this opportunity to remind members that the RCN provides a full range of services, including a counselling and advice service for members who may feel that they need support during any stage of their nursing career. Full details can be found via the RCN’s website  or by contacting RCN Direct on 0345 772 6100.
