Self harm – new online learning resource launched

A new RCN self harm online learning resource is now available. Located on the RCN website, this Learning Zone resource is aimed at nurses, students and health care assistants. It answers key questions such questions as - What is self-harm? Who self-harms? and why do people self-harm? The resource also looks at risk factors, models of self-harm, awareness, management and harm minimisation, as well as care plans, ethics (the duty of care), and alternating behaviour.
The resource will formally be launched at RCN Congress next week by RCN Mental Health Adviser, Ian Hulatt.
