The new RCN Learning Zone has arrived

Published: 01 April 2009

The RCN Learning Zone has been relaunched, with a brand new clear design and great new navigation which will make it easier for RCN members to use.

The Learning Zone has become one of the most popular RCN member benefits since it was first launched in 2002, but following feedback from RCN members, it has been improved further to address two of the highest priorities suggested for improving the facility - the navigation and the search facility.

The Learning Zone still includes learning resources to support your personal development, skills for learning, activist-related skills and on general clinical issues but now your ePortfolio is easier to set up and manage. It will help you create a CV, collect evidence that is matched to your Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) profile and will enable you to write reflective statements about your learning that can be used for preparing for your continuous professional development (CPD) requirements. RCN members will be able to compile these into reports that can be printed or emailed.

More changes are planned for 2009, such as the addition of a blog, podcasts and the development of more new learning opportunities. The RCN will also be seeking contributions from RCN members in a regular competition with tempting prizes.

Go to the new Learning Zone and feedback your comments on the new design.
