The RCN goes to Glastonbury
Published: 25 June 2009
If you're one of the 137,500 people attending Glastonbury this weekend, keep an eye out for RCN members working as part of the Festival Medical Services (FMS) team. They'll be wearing RCN branded t-shirts and caps and also supplying branded wrist bands to festival goers who have had a minor head injury, to alert FMS in case they later fall ill.
This is the first time the RCN has had a presence at such a major festival, and the aim is to help raise awareness of the RCN amongst festival goers.
In recent years, more than 1,000 people each year have needed treatment by FMS at the Glastonbury festival.
