RCN Wales meets shadow government at Conservative Party Conference

The Royal College of Nursing in Wales had a successful presence at last month's Welsh Conservative Conference in Cardiff. Representatives of the RCN, including Ann Taylor Griffiths Council Member for Wales, Director Tina Donnelly, and Activist Nigel Heal met Shadow Health & Social Services Minister Andrew RT Davies and Cheryl Gillan MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, to discuss concerns surrounding unscheduled care and violence against nurses working in the NHS.

The RCN also spoke with Nick Bourne Leader of the Conservative Group in the National Assembly, Darren Miller Chair of the National Assembly Health, Wellbeing and Local Government Committee, Jonathan Morgan AM, Chair of the National Assembly for Wales Audit Committee, Assembly Members David melding, Mark Isherwood, Paul Davies and Alun Cairns along with Kay Swinburne the Conservative candidate for the imminent elections to the European Parliament.

RCN Wales will be attending the four main party political conferences during the Spring.
