Practice makes perfect - RCN Wales announces new consultation event with practice nurses

RCN Wales has today announced that it is seeking the views of its members working in GP practice.

Members working in a GP practices who would like to help the RCN inform its response to the proposed Primary Care Strategy are invited to attend an early evening seminar to be held on Thursday 27th November 2008 which commences at 6:00pm at RCN Wales HQ Ty Maeth, Cardiff and the event will end at 7:30pm. Members wishing to attend are asked to respond by calling 029 20 751 373 or by email to inviteswales@rcn.org.uk.

This consultation event is aimed at all those who work in GP Practices in particularly:

  • LHB nurse facilitators
  • GP nurse practioners
  • GP nurse partners
  • Practice nurses
  • Educationalist working in primary care

The evening will feature a presentation on the work already undertaken to support community nursing and will present RCN Wales’ current thinking in respect of Primary Care in Wales. During the evening session we hope to engage with our members in order to help us develop our future response based on first hand experiences of this area of practice.

It is hoped that members working in the Practice environemnt who are with easy travel distance from RCN Wales Hq, Ty Maeth will be able to attend the event. Members with any queries or comments regarding this consultation event are invited to contact Sue Thomas by email on sue.thomas@rcn.org.
