RCN in Wales Responds to Call for Minimum Nurse Staffing Levels
The Royal College of Nursing in Wales welcomes Kirsty Williams, Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats statement today that calls for minimum nurse staffing levels in Wales.
Tina Donnelly, Director, RCN Wales said: "We are delighted that Kirsty Williams, Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats has called for a change in the law to require minimum staffing levels for nurses in Wales. The RCN in Wales has been seeking such an approach for some time."
Peter Meredith-Smith, Associate Director (Employment Relations) RCN Wales said: "We hope that the Welsh Government support these proposals. The RCN in Wales looks forward to working with the Welsh Government to tackle the issue of nursing staffing pressures. The legislation proposed will provide a useful vehicle for this."
