Nurses Day in Yorkshire and the Humber

Published: 29 May 2012

Nurses right across the region took the opportunity to celebrate the work they and their colleagues do by sharing a cuppa with colleagues, patients and their families.

Amongst other events organised across the region, in York staff asked patients to ‘thank a nurse today’ with specially designed cards explaining why.

Ahead of Congress in Harrogate there was an RCN stall in the town centre on Saturday complete with a camper van supplied by local catering firm Lulabelles full of tea, coffee and cupcakes for passers-by. The local Deputy mayor dropped by to meet Dr Peter Carter and find out more about the role of nursing.
