Bernell Bussue and Cecilia Anim attended the dedication of the site for the Mary Seacole statue at St Thomas’ Hospital on Wednesday. The statue is planned to be complete by next summer 2015.

RCN London Regional Director Bernell Bussue and London Board Chair Ian Norris attended and spoke at the annual fundraising dinner of the Nepalese Nurses Association UK on 12 July. RCN London member Prasuna Kadel is the General Secretary of the UK organisation and there are around 1,000 Nepalese nurses working in the UK who are members of the organisation.

RCN South West Council member Margaret North chaired the Older People’s Forum fringe event 'Older people experiencing frailty' at RCN Congress on Thursday 19 June. The event, lead by South West nurses Helen Lyndon and Frazer Underwood, focused on understanding frailty and how older people might experience it.
