RCN launches dignity campaign

The Royal College of Nursing has launched a new campaign - Dignity: at the heart of everything we do at a conference at RCN headquarters in London today. The campaign will champion patient dignity by giving nurses practical tools to ensure compassionate care and challenge poor practice where it exists.

RCN accepts three-year pay deal 92.7% of members who took part in the RCN’s recent pay consultation have voted in favour of the Government’s pay deal worth 7.99 per cent over three years.

ICN announces revised dates for 2009 Congress

The International Council of Nurses (ICN) have confirmed 27 June – 04 July 2009 as the dates for their 24th quadrennial Congress in Durban. The dates have been revised by one week, to ensure the event did not clash with a major rugby match due to be held in the city at the same time.

Chair and Vice Chair of Congress elected
