Published: 27 September 2007
Responding to the publication of the Healthcare Commission report 'Caring for Dignity' Royal College of Nursing General Secretary Dr Peter Carter said today;
“Every patient has the right to be treated with dignity and respect and it's the duty of every member of the healthcare team to make this a reality.
“However, to provide the highest levels of care staff need to feel valued, be fully supported and given the resources to provide the care their patients deserve.”
