RCN welcomes Black History Month

Speaking at the start of Black History Month Dr Peter Carter, General Secretary of the Royal College of Nursing said today;
“The RCN welcomes Black History Month as a time for celebration, reflection and remembrance.
“The RCN takes diversity and equality seriously and our mission statement enshrines this, it’s also why we campaign to support BME nurses in the workplace and it’s why, this year, we launched a race equality scheme designed to ensure that our policy making, service delivery and employment practice are fit for purpose.”
