RCN comment on NMC changes

Commenting on the changes announced today at the NMC, Royal College of Nursing Chief Executive & General Secretary, Dr Peter Carter, said:

"An effective, fit for purpose nursing regulator which can uphold professional standards, is vital for the public, patients and the nursing profession. Judith Ellis is a highly experienced professional, with an impressive track record and I look forward to working with her during what is a crucial time for the organisation.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to wish Professor Hazell well for the future and to express my thanks for his work during his tenure at the NMC."
