RCN comment on risk register decision

Published: 09 March 2012

Commenting on today’s Information Rights tribunal decision to uphold the commissioner’s decision to publish the “transition risk register” on NHS reforms, Royal College of Nursing Chief Executive & General Secretary, Dr Peter Carter, said:

“Given the major concerns we have repeatedly expressed about the Health and Social Care Bill, we welcome today’s decision that the risk register should be published. It is vital that the Government shares with the public the potential risks within the bill and what it could mean for patient care. We now call on the Government to publish this document as soon as possible.”
