RCN welcomes appointment of new NHS Confederation Chief Executive

Commenting on the appointment of Steve Barnett as Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation, Dr Peter Carter, Chief Executive and General Secretary of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) said:
“We are delighted to hear that Steve Barnett has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation, and believe he is an excellent appointment. The RCN has enjoyed a productive working relationship with both Steve and the NHS Confederation in the past, and looks forward to working together in the future. We hope that the new appointment will strengthen our relationship with the NHS Confederation and will offer even more joint opportunities to positively influence and improve health and patient care throughout the UK.”
