Consultations
The Policy and International Department manages the process of allocating all policy consultation documents received by the RCN to the staff member with the appropriate expertise to lead a response.
The department's role is to facilitate the process and advise members if a consultation has been received or if a response has been sent. It is the responsibility of the lead RCN member of staff to formulate the response by the required deadline and it is then signed off by the RCN's General Secretary, Council or Council Committee or delegated to an appropriate Council or staff member.
Another role of the Policy and International Department is to produce briefings on a wide range of issues which affect nurses and nursing, and these often relate to consultations the RCN is asking your opion on.
