Consultation responses

The Home Office launched a consultation in July to ask for opinions on government plans to overhaul the current licensing regime, to give more power to local authorities and police to help them fight alcohol-related crime.

On 28 June 2010, the government launched a consultation on how the limits on economic migration by nationals of countries outside the European Union.

The RCN has responded to the CQC’s revised enforcement policy and highlighted the challenges for CQC to be an effective regulator in this response.

The Department of Health consulted on draft regulations which will impose duties on designated bodies, including employers and contractors of health care workers, in all sectors, and regulatory bodies, relating to sharing information about the conduct or performance of health care workers to protect patient safety.

Consultation on draft regulations and statutory guidance which strengthens local authorities' duties under The Children and Young Persons Act (CYPA) 2008 to ensure the welfare of children is safeguarded and promoted when they are placed in health, education and other establishments for consecutive periods of three months or more.
