The Care Quality Commission (CQC) have incorporated what they think are the key equalities and human rights priorities with the early involvement and engagement of people who use services and the staff they employ. This consultation was a call for views.

In response to The Darzi report, High Quality Care For All, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) was commissioned by the Department of Health to produce quality standards. This expands NICE’s role to include setting and approving independent quality standards for the NHS.
