The RCN has responded to the Department of Health's consultation seeking views on how public health specialists will be developed and supported in the new public health system and how public health capacity can be embedded in the wider system.

The RCN has responded to the Nursing & Midwifery Council's (NMC) consultation on their draft Equality Objectives for 2012-2015. As a public body the NMC is required to set and publish equality objectives which outline how they will meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 for the year(s) ahead. The aim being to promote equality, diversity and inclusion when carrying out their functions and delivering their services as a regulator and as an employer.

The RCN has responded to the Institute of Health Equity's (IHE) draft report exploring actions the Health Workforce can take to positively influence the social determinants of health and tackle health inequalities.
