British Council of Disabled People
Useful consultative body as they represent over 130 disabled organisations that are run by disabled people nationally.

Centre for Accessible Environments
This organisation sets up a dialogue between providers and users on how the built environment can best be made or modified to achieve inclusion by design.

DIAL (Disability Information & Advice Line)
A national network of disability information and advice lines. The site provides fact sheets and general information for people with disabilities.

Disability.gov.uk
Explains disabled peoples rights and the legislation as well containing a series of useful links detailing initiatives and events.

Disability Rights Commission
Independent body aimed at eliminating disability discrimination. Provides information on legislation and explains the rights of disabled people. Lots of downloads, useful advice on accessibility of web site, video library etc. You can register to receive their bulletin via e-mail.

Employers Forum on Disability
The leading employer’s forum focussed on disability as it affects business. This organisation is managed by employers for employers. It contains some useful information on retention of staff who acquire a disability through the course of their employment.

Employers Forum on Disability Northern Ireland
The Forum is a network of employers—drawn from the public, private, and voluntary sectors—working to promote training and employment opportunities and accessibility for people with disabilities as employees and customers.

Provides comprehensive information for disabled people and their careers.

Inclusion Scotland
Inclusion Scotland (IS) is a consortium of disability-led organisations and individual disabled people.

Regard – National Association of Disabled Lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgender People
REGARD was founded in 1989 to address what it considers to be the absence of information and lack of understanding about the reality of disabled lesbians and gay men working within the disability movement.

RNID
Charity representing 9 million visually impaired users across the UK. It contains lots of useful information including information on how to book and use a British Sign Language interpreter
