Authorisation process on track
The third wave of clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) has now gone through the authorisation process, with 62 more joining the list of authorised CCGs. The results of the fourth and final wave will be announced in time for the transfer of commissioning responsibilities in April 2013.
The RCN has raised concerns to the NHS Commissioning Board that some CCGs may have been authorised without robust nurse leadership at an executive and board level.
