Improving the lives of those with learning disabilities
Commissioning guidance has been published by Improving Health and Lives: the Learning Disabilities Observatory. The good practice guidance has been written for CCGs to assist them to commission high quality, cost effective general and specialist health services for people with learning disabilities, jointly commission services for people who challenge services and those with complex needs, and work with local authorities and others to address the social factors which adversely affect the health of people with learning disabilities. The RCN contributed to its development.
