Health Education England (HEE)
Health Education England is the new body to provide national leadership for NHS education and training and has been established as a Special Health Authority. The HEE will allocate will allocate £5 billion multi-professional education and training budget funding to 16 Local Education and Training Boards (LETBs) which will be regionally based. National appointments have been made and local structures have been published.

Although staff will become civil servants, their NHS terms and conditions will continue. There will be a Pensions Choice exercise undertaken after transfer where people will have the option to transfer over to the civil service pension scheme.
