
Emily Pollinger
Emily Pollinger leads on staffing levels, using RCN guidance on safe staffing and skill mix to research impact on patient safety and quality of care. She co-ordinates the work of the Future Nurse, Future Workforce project group, examining policies and emerging health trends that will affect the workforce of the future.
In her previous RCN role, Emily worked on the College's response to the 2010 Public Health White Paper exploring the voice of the profession within the delicate interplay of individuals, government and industry.
Before joining the RCN, Emily worked for the RCOG on a range of projects including consent issues in obstetrics and gynaecology, good practice guidance and co-ordinating reviews into the performance of individuals and services.
She has an interest in health equity, nursing ethics and emotional labour.
