Loren Mathias

Assistant International Adviser (Nursing)

Loren is an assistant international adviser (nursing) responsible for identifying leading edge nursing policy and practice developments in other countries of relevance to the RCN’s UK work. Other responsibilities include liaising with sister nursing associations and health organisations on common nursing issues and developing and managing programmes for international visits. The key focus is to share good nursing practice in UK and explore opportunities for future mutual collaboration and learning experience.

Prior to working with the RCN, Loren worked as a registered nurse in Canada in both in-patient and community mental health. In 2009, Loren completed her MSc in International Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has also worked as a research assistant with the Personal Social Services Research Unit at LSE and the World Health Organisation in Geneva.
